H.R. Gray is partnered with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. and R.D. Zande to provide program management services to the City of Columbus, Ohio. Columbus has entered into two consent orders with the State of Ohio to address the capacity of their collection system and wastewater treatment plants. Under these orders, a Wet Weather Management Plan was developed in 2005 identifying a series of construction improvements required to be substantially completed by July 2010. Contracts for design services related to the improvements were not awarded by the City until November 2006. Construction began in the fall of 2007.
Construction cost estimates for these projects are estimated to be in excess of $550,000,000. H.R. Gray is the lead consultant providing the following services to the City; preparation and support of the Master Program Scheduling and Detailed Design Scheduling using Primavera scheduling software, constructability review and formal advice during the preliminary and detailed design for all projects in the proposed 2005-2010 CIP, construction cost estimating for all preliminary and detailed designs for all projects, construction management services on five of the six capital projects.
