Cabarrus County Various Elementary & Middle Schools

H.R. Gray was retained by the Cabarrus County Board of County Commissioners to assist and represent the County in a program for the construction of three new schools; Rocky River Road and Harris Road Middle Schools, and Cox Mill Elementary School.

The services provided under this program included: assistance with selection of an Architect, including drafting an RFQ/RFP, and hearing all presentations as well as recommending criteria upon which to make a selection of Architect; assistance in negotiating the Architect’s contract; performing value engineering and constructability reviews at 50% design and at 90% design; develop a Critical Path Method project schedule and construction schedule to ensure the projects are feasible and as a basis for evaluating multiple prime contractors  advisory services during construction; bids; review and revise the Clients standard construction documents; provide on-site investigate and analyze any construction claims; change orders, delays, etc.; maintain and monitor the CPM schedule; and maintain and monitor the project’s costs.
