Cabarrus County Jay M. Robinson High School

H.R. Gray was retained to perform value engineering and constructability reviews of a proposed new high school for the Cabarrus County Board of Education and the Cabarrus County Board of County Commissioners.

The project consisted of reviewing 100% construction documents in order to identify possible cost saving measures that could be implemented feasibly, quickly, and easily as the project was already out for bids.  The reviews occurred concurrently and were completed within a two week period.  H.R. Gray identified $1.7 million in possible savings if all proposals were implemented, as well as several proposals for more efficient construction.

The reviews also included review of a preliminary construction schedule and a determination of the feasibility of the proposed construction schedule.
