Olentangy Local Schools New Elementary and Middle Schools

Olentangy Local Schools, located in Delaware County, is one of the fastest growing school districts in the State of Ohio. Between August 1998 and August 2001, H.R. Gray provided owner's representative services for eight new elementary and two new middle schools in this district. H.R. Gray was selected for this contract because of our ability to provide cost-effective services with contracts totaling over $68 million.

All of these projects were considered schedule-critical as timelines needed to be met for these schools to open on time. H.R. Gray monitored the project schedule and provided the School Administration and School Board with an objective opinion on progress. H.R. Gray also reviewed and approved billings, monitored testing and quality during construction.

As the Owner's Representative, H.R. Gray monitored the construction progress and recommended strategies for keeping the projects on-track for the necessary completion date. H.R. Gray also reviewed billings, advised on change order pricing, monitored quality, observed testing and provided budget control.

H.R. Gray was also instrumental in the successfully negotiated settlement of a construction claim at the Olentangy Liberty Road Middle School. The success of the settlement was in large part due to H.R. Gray's Claims Management and Resolution experience and proper documentation during construction.
