H.R. Gray was retained by Truro Township to assist with the development and construction of their new fire station.
Early project meetings with the Township officials clarified the goals for the project and developed a planned approach to meet the needs of the Township and the community it serves. The H.R. Gray project staff assisted the Township by advertising for the design services, reviewed the 12 proposals received, and developed a shortlist of firms to be interviewed. A format for rating and ranking each firm assisted the Township Trustees in making their selection of Mull & Weithman Architects and aided the Township in finalizing the Architect's contract for services.
H.R. Gray participated in the Programming and Schematic Design phase with cost and schedule analysis to assist the Township and architect in developing a sound project budget and functional design for the new fire station. During design development and construction document production, H.R. Gray attended design meetings to give advice on construction materials, construction schedules and assisted in maintaining the Project Budget. A constructability review on the construction document drawings and specifications was performed and the results contributed to the development of a bidding document designed to generate interest in the project and control costs.
The project was completed in February of 2007 and H.R. Gray provided Owner's Representative Services during construction to:
